Gianluca Telloli, an oenologist from the Valle d’Aosta, devoted to searching for and promoting the ancient mountain apples grown at high altitudes, with the help of Alessandro Revel Chion,  a distiller and liqueur-maker, created this liqueur based on cider, an aperitif from another era in the grand style of the Belle Epoque.

Starting from a cider base, the aroma is enchanced by absinthe combined with angelica-root, marjoram, thyme and Clary sage. Bittering agents are also added, including quassia bitterwood, cinchona bark, and gentian root. Finally, the zest of sweet and sour oranges is infused to round it all out. Great as an aperitif, with some club soda, in a spritz, or as a unique cocktail ingredient. Bottled at 18% abv.
